Docker as Staff Product Designer & team lead | November 2022 - Current
As part of the team that is designing and building Docker’s new supply chain product Docker Scout, my day-to-day tasks focus heavily on working with a multidisciplinary team to capture and understand user needs on how we can help developers and organisations keep their software secure and translate these needs into design solutions within Docker’s suite of products
Key tasks:
Collaborate with PMs, engineers and researcher to understand user problems and translate them into design solutions
Carry out research to discover and validate product ideas and features
Work with other designers to ensure our designs solutions and patterns are aligned and consistent across Docker’s suite of products
Mentor and guide other designers in the team
As the design team lead for my product line, I am also responsible for reviewing and providing feedback on various design activities in my product line outside my immediate team
Kry/Livi as Staff Product Designer | May 2020 - June 2022
As part of the clinician area design team, I worked on the tools that help our clinicians deliver care to patients across 5 different European markets: Sweden, Norway, France, UK and Germany
I was the main designer for our medical record team which focused on designing features that helped clinicians record and read patient medical records so that they get the best care possible
I also worked on strategic projects including researching and collating how the healthcare system and needs across different markets would impact how we build our clinician product
I was also heavily involved in the hiring process of designers and researchers including designing interview questions and conducting them
Refinitiv (now LSEG) as Senior UX Designer | May 2019 - April 2020 (Contract role)
As part of the platform design team, I worked with product managers and developers to redesign the alerting capabilities of Refinitiv’s next generation financial data platform Eikon allowing users to set alerts and be notified when something happens/changes in their areas of interest such as price changes, breaking news, economic events, or vessel destination changes.
Led a research project to investigate how users expect data science tools to be integrated into their workflow within Eikon. Also collaborated with the data science team to find ways on integrating machine learning algorithms to power the content of Eikon.
Faculty as Lead UX Designer | November 2017 - April 2019
As the first UX hire of this data science startup, my core responsibilities ranged from designing our data science platform to building the design team and supporting our consultancy arm with their client deliverables.
Product design - Worked with product, sales, engineers and data scientists on the end-to-end delivery of Faculty platform - a tool for data scientists to analyse, train and deploy their machine learning models to the real world. This included conducting research, prototyping, and testing the usability of the platform with data scientists. I also worked with the frontend team on building out our first design system.
Design management - Set up the design function in the company, hired and led the design team and co-ordinated design activities across the company. I also managed the activities and development of designers on the design team.
Marketing & branding - Project managed the rebrand from ASI Data Science to Faculty and implemented the new brand across all products and services within the company. Worked with the data science team to create dashboards, infographics and presentations for client projects.
Thomson Reuters as Senior Interaction Designer | July 2015 - October 2017
Led the end-to-end design of apps within the financial data platform Eikon with a focus on apps for commodities trading, investment & portfolio management, and data cataloguing. Some of the projects I worked on included:
Content Catalogue - Conducted research and designed an internal content catalogue to help product and content teams build and manage their products, and for sales team to sell products.
Visualising Weather Risk - Working with a data visualisation expert, I designed and tested a tool that helps weather analysts and traders visualise and monitor complex weather forecast models across different countries.
Content Ordering - Initiated a project that was awarded a $100k innovation fund to deliver a proof-of-concept that allows customers to make in- product purchases based on a recommendation engine.
Supply Chain Analysis - Working with a multidisciplinary team, I designed an app that helps analysts and investors discover relationships between companies, their suppliers and customers.
Misys (now Finastra) as Lead UX Designer | June 2014 - June 2015
Product - Worked with multiple product and development teams on the research and design of software for retail, corporate, and investment banking customers.
Design patterns - Planned and created a UI pattern library to maintain quality and design consistency across the Misys product suite.
UX training - Created and delivered UX training courses to multidisciplinary teams to instill user-centered design thinking to the creation, development and delivery of products.

Scoped, pitched, and delivered client projects across multiple industries (e.g. finance, government, media, higher education, e- commerce etc.)
Project activities included strategy definition for digital products and services, stakeholder and user research, user journey and workflow mapping, wireframing, prototyping and usability testing of products across desktop and mobile applications.
